For more than twenty years, I owned an environmental inspection company that took me into other people's homes every day. I saw how much each home meant to the family inside it. It held their memories and their sense of security. For many, it was also their greatest asset.
My parents showed me what else a home can do. The equity they built over the decades gave them options, and those options became freedom, peace of mind, and years of adventure in retirement. That lesson stayed with me. A home is never just collateral. It is part of your life and a central piece of your financial picture.

Today my work centers on two of life's biggest turning points. As a Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional, I show homeowners and their families how home equity can support retirement. As a Certified Divorce Lending Professional, I bring clarity to the housing side of divorce, where a real estate license held since 2005 helps me see how title, value, and timing shape the outcome. Beyond those specialties, all loan types are available through C2 Financial, from first homes to refinances, in the nine states where I'm licensed.
As a Certified Liability Advisor, I focus on the side of the balance sheet that gets the least attention: debt. Most financial planning centers on what a family owns. Liability planning looks at what they owe, and how a mortgage can be structured to protect wealth rather than erode it. That is the heart of my philosophy, borrow smart, repay smart, and it is why financial planners, CPAs, and attorneys partner with me when a home is part of a client's plan.
Education is just as important to me. I teach Equity in Retirement at senior centers, where homeowners can learn about their options before they need to make a decision.
Closer to home, I serve on the board of my 27-unit HOA, which keeps me connected to the real questions homeowners face every day. Off the clock, you'll find me at the dog park or walking my dog, Echo.
